This piece is a very personal one for me. Not only did I use my apartment bathroom as the backdrop but I had friends model for me and encourage my work and the concept of isolation and detachment in modern apartment blocks, which is something many people feel but do not know how to combat.
This diptych was the first piece to gain me recognition as an art student. It was displayed in the Summer Semester Competition for the painting department at my art university in Tokyo. I was able to successfully use my signature style and muted pastel palette to render human forms in line with minimal brushwork.
The diptych in in 2 rolls of paper currently as I removed it from the wooden panels for transport. If you would like to purchase on separately as an individual work, I'd be happy to oblige, contact me for details.
