I love these old subway cars, their colours, a turquoise hued metal, and red brown floors, little portholes to the outside, to the darkness of the labyrinth beneath the city, the domain of nightly ghosts and demons and perhaps the odd urban legendary crocodile or two. The car is empty, adding to its mystery, the end of the day perhaps, or the very beginning. The work is interesting and unusual, evocative of a different time and place. A perfect gift, a great addition to any collection of American works.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
