Original artwork description:

This view inspired me to paint this scene. It reminded me of a Hopper painting. This was in a back street in New York and the car door was open. I pondered why, there was an air of mystery about it. A lone figure is walking across the road added to the feeling of isolation. The buildings are half in shadow also giving a feeling of stillness. So I captured this in photographs a moment in time and painted it back in my studio. It is quite a large painting and comes with a certificate of Authenticity and is ready to hang.

Materials used:

oil on stretched canvasl
