Before moving home to north east Aberdeenshire in early 2017, I made many trips to the New Forest, Hampshire in pursuit of the Ridge Trees project which concentrated on a specific area of the Forest.

All the photographs in the project are concerned with mist, autumn or winter and were made at the cusp of dawn.

The Forest is transformed by mist especially when seen through a plantation of beautifully straight pines unencumbered by high bracken and undergrowth. The mist softens and filters the light.

Hahnemühle Photo Rag is one of the world’s most popular papers. The white cotton artist’s paper, with its characteristic, wonderfully soft feel, boasts a lightly defined felt structure, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance and pictorial depth.

Photographs posted within the UK are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery which usually arrive the next day after dispatch before 1pm.

Photographs sent outside the UK are usually sent via UPS to ensure a smooth transit through customs and usually arrive within a week from dispatch.
