Sealed with clear spray varnish. Side panels painted.

To experience the seasons, it has become a routine of mine to paint the first bloom around my surroundings, during its flowering season. This artwork was inspired by my visit to the National Rhododendron Gardens in Dandenong Ranges. I was drawn immediately to the White Rhododendron bush, blooming gloriously with white petals shining like gems under the sunlight in spring.

While blossoms in pure white stand for a new beginning, a fresh start, the white rhododendron symbolizes hope, purity and innocence.
This is why white rhododendron flowers make a perfect gift to someone who is maybe starting a new chapter in life or can be even given as a gift to someone who is going through tough times to show support and love. White rhododendron flowers also represent sympathy.
