The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas, with a 6 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. This artwork is shipped rolled in a tube for safe international delivery and can be affordably stretched at your local framing store.

"Never Smile at a Crocodile" was originally painted vertically, but when I turned it sideways, I suddenly saw a crocodile staring back at me and that’s when the title clicked. I love when a painting surprises me, revealing something unexpected, and this one does exactly that. It’s full of bold, layered colors and shapes that play off each other, shifting and transforming depending on how you look at it. There’s movement, rhythm, and a sense of spontaneity, yet everything still feels connected. I’ve signed it in a way that lets the collector decide which orientation speaks to them most, whether they see the crocodile or something entirely different.

The color palette is rich and warm, with earthy browns anchoring the composition, while vibrant blues, greens, and fiery oranges bring energy and contrast, creating a dynamic yet harmonious balance.
