A large original mixed media painting by Australian artist Scott Maxwell

Highly textured painting, very active surface and largely experimental. A representation of the constant messages being sent and received from body to brain. The constant firing of pain receptors, the neurochemical effects brought on by chronic pain and the chemicals used to make that pain manageable are the largest inspiration for my work.

An abstract expressionist painting on stretched canvas, the edges are painted black and a hanging wire is attached to the back so it is ready to hang with or without a frame.
