Recently, I am more and more attracted to watercolor. I try to experiment with the composition and even while working at the typical floral motif I am looking for methods to go beyond the framework of classical realistic painting. This small plein air watercolor became one of such attempts to bring a little conventionality into a realistic painting. I intentionally saved white areas, enclosing the composition in a kind of polygonal shape resembling a star. But at the same time, I want to preserve the impressionistic charm of flowers and grass flooded with the sunlight.
