In Naples, in spring, in the shadow of Vesuvius, where the Mediterranean scents the air with brine and pine, and the breeze carries odors of fish and diesel. I pass a block of apartments, coloured with faded pink and yellow, like an ancient fresco, bleached by the sun, and washed by winter rain. Sheets flutter in the breeze, greenery grows and climbs. From all around come shouts, voices, bursts of music. The work is rich in realism and details, infused with light. A perfect souvenir of Naples, a great gift.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
