Original artwork description:

Nantucket Afternoon is a collage painting about one of my favorite places. I used the pink and purple colors I saw as I biked by the blooming hydrangea bushes. I smell the salty brine of the deep blue Atlantic while enjoying the succulent taste of a warm buttered lobster roll.

The patterns and textures of Nantucket entice me. The frothy foam of the waves on its shell strewed beaches. The weathered gray shingles against the crisp white trim of the Nantucket cottages. Lavender, magenta, slate blues and gray tones surround me.
