The fine cold and dry snow falling across the fjord creating a high key shroud obscuring the view, and it makes for an atmospheric fairy-tale like landscape. A winterscape showing the freezing harsh conditions. I particularly like the hint of warmth from the muted sunshine creeping in from the distant on the right hand side.
From a series of photographs from Namsenfjorden - the estuary of the very famous Norwegian salmon river Namsen. I grew up in Namsos a small town at the mouth of the river from which it got its name. I often go back to visit my home town and am always drawn to photograph the views of the fjord from the harbour. Light and climate is always changing the way it appears so it never looks the same, which is fascinating and lends itself to some very idyllic and atmospheric landscapes and seascapes.
