This nude painting is based on classic Greek mythology, inspired by Homer's epic poems Odyssey and Iliad. A naked boy - young, yet at the same time an able swordsman, - stands tall with a weapon in his hand, in a fighting stance, ready for whatever perils are waiting for him in the future.

The painting is done in my late expressive style, and will delight the refined audience with a wealth of symbolism. The carelessness in the drawing technique is deliberate, putting greater emphasis on the ideas, details and balance of colors conveying meanings rather than proximity to reality.
