Original artwork description:

Painting “In the mountains of Svaneti. Ushguli, Georgia” was drawn from sketches and photographs from nature during my cycling plein air travel across Georgia in the fall of 2019.

The settlement of Ushguli in Georgia is the highest permanent settlement in the European part of the world, located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level.

The entire upper Svaneti region in Georgia is very impressive with its beauty, but the Ushguli area attracts special attention.

The picturesquely scattered medieval stone towers against the backdrop of beautiful mountains make you want to paint, such views are very inspiring for creativity. These places have uniqueness and originality, therefore they attract attention.

The work was painting by professional Italian watercolors Maimeri Blu on 100% cotton watercolor paper 300 g/m2, which guarantees the durability of the preservation of the work under proper storage conditions, decorated under glass.

Also on my page you can see other original paintings painted from life during my plein air travels in Italy, India, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey. And also see my paintings with flowers and still lifes painted from nature.

All the funds raised from the sale of my paintings are used to make my dream of a mobile workshop based on a minibus come true. Now I travel the world on a bicycle, it is very exciting, but for greater productivity I need a minibus in which I will live, travel and paint.
