A hill and trees which stand above the surrounding fields and river with a backdrop of a changing sky suggested by loose brushstrokes.
Lady Hill is a fairly small but striking mound beside the river Ure in Wensleydale. The shape alone calls for some attention and, in the past, a group of fir trees stood on its summit creating a striking profile (unfortunately they have now been hidden by a screen of evergreens planted around them). In its previous life, as depicted here, was it a settlement, a location for black magic or maybe a playgound suitable for Pooh? I also like broken down fences which add a lead-in to a picture.
I pride myself in giving a good service to purchasers as I want them to enjoy the picture and to be assured that it will arrive in top condition. All paintings are wrapped and boxed in heavy duty, double walled corrugated board.
