Alas, I didn't have time to explore Venice to my hearts' content when I visited. Maybe that's why I still enjoy painting it and imagining what is around every mysterious corner. For this painting I chose a non-traditional 20x10 size canvas to help emphasize the unique characteristics of Venice. I also focused on the rich greens and blues in the reflections, letting the buildings fade into the sun. This painting is subject to availability.
