Original artwork description:

Lockdown has made a lot of us artists lose their inspiration, but some of us like myself, was able to find it regardless.

Initially I was struggling to pick the pencils up again but soon enough I felt motivated again. I'm sure you will remember about my collection of bookmarks “Wild Flowers”, which came about because I needed a bookmark for my texts. I didn't imagine it was going to be received so well by you all so because of that I figured... If so many people of all ages can use them for their readings, why not make a more collection dedicated to each season?

That's how the new collection “Wild Berries” was created.

Wild berries are ideal to be drawn on a bookmark. They're so tiny but so colorful and look like precious little jewels from nature. The idea stemmed from something very real this time too: a delicious slice of home made wild berries jam on toast!

Summer is coming and in this time we want to rest and enjoy a good reading, maybe on a cosy hammock and I can already picture you lot, with your favorite book and my “sweet” bookmark.

Materials used:

Caran D'Ache colored pencils on 250grams smooth paper
