Union Township Sequence is a series of paintings of the New Jersey town I moved to in October 2022. The paintings features include houses, signs, yards, trees, fences, rooftops, chimneys and sky. Suburban architecture's repetition can make it seem simultaneously quaint and redundant. In this painting my shadow, shooting the reference photo, appears near the sunlit tree near the green lawn of a red house.
