A narrow horizontal painting, part of a diptych. The painting can be displayed individually or with its partner May Lavender Field I as a vertical or horizontal pair.
Recreated in the artist's studio, after a glimpse from the window of a fast train, this artwork is impressionistic and spontaneous. The purple, blue and green create a fresh spring ambience; the white clouds are light and airy. The landscape coveys the joy of late spring.
