Original artwork description:

Here is a beautiful Sundanese woman next of a map of Africa. With a semi-abstract painting of this sort, where the artist is including a recognizable figure with pure abstract forms and color, the problem is always to mate the two in a way that makes both components compatible. Here I am using the female figure, the map and the text as a departure point, leading to the less definitive shapes and colors of the bulk of the painting. The text is "my future is your future" in the Sundanese language.
MY FUTURE IS YOUR FUTURE is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

In this painting, the background and map have been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 4 mil archival grade mylar and then the portrait was painted over the background.

This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on one inch thick foamboard with a two inch border all around. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
