Original artwork description:

The watercolor is painted on thick watercolor paper (300 gr).
In the natural landscape, I am interested in the light-air environment. Through painting or graphic writing, I strive to capture the density of air - the way I would feel it if I was immersed in my painting. Even when the pictorial composition has an advantageous linear structure, air remains in the voids, in the gaps, in the breath of the fragile graphic structure.
When painting spaces, I want to stay away from the mimetic principle, to paint those vibrations that the body and gaze of a person immersed in these spaces perceive.
I explore the idea of space in urban and natural landscapes. I do not fundamentally separate the city and nature, but often the city is embodied in linear structures as a man-made structure, like in my Philippine landscapes. In both the city and the natural landscape, I am interested in the light and air environment. In painting or graphics, I strive to capture the density of air exactly as I would feel it if I were to plunge into my picture. Even when the pictorial composition is formed with the advantage of a linear structure, the air remains in the voids, in the gaps, in the breath of the fragile graphic structure. When painting spaces, I want to be away from the mimetic principle, to paint those vibrations perceived by the body and gaze of the person absorbed within those spaces.
