Contemporary Fabric Sculpture for Home or Garden. Bronze finish

My Family is a unique absolute one of a kind fabric sculptures, It has taken many weeks to make, and has been made with much love, care and attention to detail, in my home studio in Derbyshire.

It is specially finished to survive the elements outside all year round. It can withstand rain, ice and frost. The family is mounted on a large piece of slate. Or perhaps because the sculpture is so lovely you can keep it indoors. Quite at home in any room.

The sculpture is made from a wire armature and cotton fabric immersed in special fabric hardeners, which makes the fabric very strong and hard to the touch - yet surprisingly lightweight.(although because it is mounted onto the slate it is quite heavy)

I chose to make the sculptures in a brown bronze, with verdigre, turquoise and gold guilt highlights. the sculpture has been varnished in three separate layers to protect it for the outdoors.

Care: Washable in cold water, they can be swished about to remove dust and allowed to drip dry.
