"Beloved" is from my tree series painted while waiting for Spring 2019. It is showing one tree lit from within, standing some distance away from its partner across the dark landscape.
This painting for me expresses the joy and stability of love and partnership.
The light that lies within illuminates the area under the tree and the backlit foreground grasses contain the all the colours of the spectrum.
My home and studio is surrounded by huge beech trees and I cannot fail to be inspired by how they cradle us and give me a sense of time passing. When I first moved to Lincolnshire over twenty six years ago, I was inspired by "twin trees' standing here and there in the landscape.
This painting is 18 x 24 inches, painted on canvas board
I have used professional acrylic paint and finished with a coat of archival varnish.
Available unframed
However, I will add little "hangers" to the back of the canvas board, so, until you frame it in your chosen style, it will be able to be hung up and enjoyed.
I have made a CGI to show it "hanging" in my hallway, surrounded by a black surround. Other photographs show it unframed in my studio and my sitting room.
Packed carefully.
