This is an oil painting done from life.
I titled it 'Muse' not only in the conventional sense, as 'my model' , but also, the model herself was submerged in the atmosphere of the studio, one elbow supported by a clay cast used in academic classical art training, and her gaze resting on an art book (her muse).
