Contemporary landscape study of a foothpath in Shevington, Wigan, UK.

🎨 Subject inspiration:
• An impressionistic representation sky reflection in puddles on a foothpath after the rain has cleared up in Wigan. As an outdoor painter I am intruiged by the interplay between sky and water reflections on this path and wish to convey warm summer yellows and greens and light and shadows cast by the hedgrow trees.

• This is an contemporary original one of a kind handmade acrylic painting size 12 x 9 inches in portrait orientation and of an impressionistic art style.

• Archival art materials were used throughout to ensure vibrant colours that remain permanent: Professional W&N artists acrylic paint used on gesso primed 3mm hardboard.
