This painting done after I shifted to this beautiful city Bhopal in2020. We all know that in this year whole world on pause because of corona. As I shifted in the city in end of January and in month there was total lockdown announced because of pandemic for uncertain period. We all locked in our houses in uncertainty for life.
But fortunately in few months things were better for awhile. Then I got a chance to see this beautiful and vibrant city. Bhopal is known for city of lakes too. There are more than 20 big lakes in and around city. And Bhopal has very rich history, one see the footprints of this rich history of Nawab and Begam’s who developed and governed the city for last 2 centuries.
This particular spot called Motiya lake, close to Moti Masjid, one of largest in Asia.
I did few studies on location and this one developed in studio, watercolour on paper
