Original artwork description:

I once spent a wonderful day at a private wildlife sanctuary in South Africa where I held a three week old lion cub and got up close & personal with some rather more boisterous 'toddlers and teens'! They provided me not only with precious memories but also with some amazing reference photos. Using phots I took of a mother lioness in the wild on a later date in combination with my cub pictures I came up with this family trio composition. One of my largest and most lovingly executed wildlife drawings I have kept it to myself for many years but have now decided that the time has come to share this doting family with a new doting owner :-)
