a handprinted aquatint etching; I ink up the copperplate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity.
Aquatint is a technique where deep tones can be achieved on an etching, it involves rosin, that gets melted onto the copperplate with the help of a burner, when immersed in the acid in stages, it gives lovely rich tones on the copper plate.

"Mother and Child" is printed in an edition of only 40 prints,
please be aware that I can't guarantee that you get the number on the photo......
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.

The aquatint etching is printed on a piece of warm white
heavy printmaking paper, perfect for the image,
the paper measures 10" x 15" (25 cm x 38 cm)
and the actual image measures 6" x 12" (15cm x 30 cm)

I'll mail your etching from my studio in Denmark, carefully packed to arrive safely, see my many reviews that I do a good job.
