I love the way mothers seem to provide this all-encompassing love and protection for their young. I tried to depict the enormity of this love in relation to the smallness and dependency of their young. This is how I felt when I had my babies. And I made it bright and cheerful, a world aglow with color and life. I hope you can feel the joy in this painting!
