Original artwork description:

The painting depicts the Mosque of Hassan Pasha Jakovali in Pécs. The shadow of the minaret is cast on the County Hospital. I saw this scene a lot in my childhood. My mother worked as a nurse at the hospital and I often went there at the end of her working hours to walk home together.

The Mosque of Hassan Jakovali is one of the best-preserved Turkish architectural monuments in Hungary, the only one where the mosque and the slender minaret connected to it can be seen together in an almost unchanged form. It was probably built in the second half of the 16th century.
The mosque has a historical exhibition of Turkish monuments discovered in the city.

In recent years, I have been using OSB as the basis for my encaustic works for two reasons. One is that these raw materials are made from recycled wood, and the other is that I like the industrial effect texture that this raw material gives. Every work is already different due to the pattern of the wood, so no two paintings can be the same.

The encaustic is equipped with a simple wooden exhibition frame, which harmonizes with the industrial style of the painting and highlights it well. Ready to hang!

This work will be delivered with Care Instructions for my encaustic paintings and a signed certificate of authenticity. Carefully packaged and tracked shipping. I ship this work in cardboard boxes carefully wrapped in bubble foil and protect the painting with cardboard. If you like my paintings you can have a piece of art for your beloved place.

PLEASE KINDLY NOTE:
- the colors in life may slightly vary from the photo due to lighting sources or monitor settings.
- the parcel will be sent from Hungary. Should the delivery address be outside the EU, the recipient may need to declare the painting and pay some local VAT and customs duties.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
