11x14 inches - portrait format on sublime Two Rivers 200lbs handmade 100% cotton rag paper - made in Somerset, England 1 piece at a time. This has a gloriously textured surface and is acid free and archival.

PLEASE NOTE - on the back are paintings of lemons. This will not affect the portrait at all as the paper is so thick you cannot see anything through it OK. If you watch the video that I have uploaded here you will see the lemons.


An original watercolour portrait of a Morrisman musician.
As he plays his recorder for the dance to proceed he closes his eyes as he loses himself in the familiar folk rhythms of his musical repertoire.

His floral hat bedecked with flowing ribbons evoke the splendor and joy of the English Morrisman.

I love folk dancing and especially the Morrismen as their high kicking bell-covered ankles and thwacking of sticks make me buoyant and happy!

This would be the perfect gift for anyone who loves British folk customs or portraiture in general.

This painting will be packaged flat as the paper is too thick to roll!
I will make sure it is totally protected in transit with good packaging.
