Titled : Morning with Peonies by Lisa Kyle

In this painting, I sought to capture the ephemeral beauty of peonies, their lush, ruffled blooms a symbol of resilience and grace. Utilizing the impressionistic technique, I played with light and shadow to enhance the softness and depth of the petals, contrasting them against the sturdy, textured vase. The strokes of oil paint not only convey the tactile quality of the scene but also evoke a sense of tranquility and contemplation. This artwork is meant to bring a breath of serenity and a gentle splash of color into any space.

The vase is a work of art created by the glass blower Joe Mattson. It is a lustrous art nouveau design with a design of feathers of a luminous field of iridescent turquoise.
