Original artwork description:
This work was inspired by an early morning walk in Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. A late September morning, the Autumn colours make a rich, warm glow in the sunshine, a pleasing contrast to the darkness of the shadows.
I started this painting back in 2018, but wasn't entirely happy with the initial result, reworking the picture in 2021 proved - for me, more successful.
