Artwork description:

There’s a place in the southern coast of England called Beachy Head, where you can walk along the cliff paths and see views of the English channel and the beautiful majestic white chalk cliffs for miles and miles. At a certain point in the walk you will come across a row of houses which once upon a time were lucky enough to be situated in one of the most beautiful spots in England with every window overlooking the cliffs and the sea, but now they are empty and slowly crumbling into the sea due to the fast erosion of the coastline. I wanted to capture that view before it changes forever.
This is a four colour reduction linocut print of which there are only 12 in the edition. They all vary very slightly in the tonal quality of the blue.
Please be aware that as my work is handmade there are slight textural inconsistencies and slight embossing form the hand-pressing. These are all marks to show that you are receiving a piece of handmade artwork and not a digitally enhanced print.

Materials used:

Somerset satin 250gsm and oil based inks
