The grove of trees contrasting with the undulating rock formation in Utah drew me in; I had to stop here and paint this scene. I was with a friend while attending a weeklong plein air (painting outdoors) event and we were scouting locations. I happened to have two 12" square cradled panels with me, so clamped them together to get the shape I wanted. The spontaneous feel of this piece pleases me!
Note: The panels are wired and ready to hang side by side. Framing is optional; sides of Ampersand panels are finished natural blonde wood.
