I take the train to work everyday and I love observing people. I sketch them, quick gestural drawings fill up my sketchbook on an everyday basis. This one however, I wanted to paint. The morning light falling on this gentleman's face was so inviting that I just HAD to paint it.

This portrait is painted on a wood mounted canvas panel using the highest quality oil paints. The strokes are vivid and energetic with an aim to draw the viewer right in.
