Original painting by UK Artist, James Brunt.
Description:
Inspired by the beginning of the Spring season and the early flowering of poppies, bathed in the warmth of a morning sunrise. I intentionally painted the flowering grass and the bright red poppies using an impasto technique, thick paint layered using a palette knife, to create a three dimensional quality to the earthy foreground. These painted sketches are normally created as general ideas of composition and colour, as practice pieces for larger bodies of work.
Oil on Italian Fabriano Paper.
Created 2021.

Painting signed and dated by the Artist.
Varnished for protection.
Frame is for illustration ONLY and not included in the listing.
