Morning Breaks, Dalkey Island is filled with the vibrant colours of a vibrant sunrise over the iconic and always mysterious shape of Dalkey Island...

From my school days I have always loved this Island and watched eagerly for it from the train window and now far too many years later I am still drawn to it and always enjoy my time when I go sketching and painting it, even if it is very very early!

This painting has layers of lush oil paint applied with my palette knives in thick sweeps, I love the way that this creates texture and depth while the colour of the paint stays vibrant and seems to sing brightly

This painting is oil on board and will come framed as shown and is 37 x 37 x 4cm Framed
