Original artwork description:

I had just gone to our local farmers market and bought 5 Meyer lemons for a tart. The next day it began raining for 2 weeks. I decided to turn my canceled week into a positive experience and rescheduled my outdoor painting group for a still life session. I arranged a perfect balance of opposite flavors lemons and sugar bringing together the warm and cool colors of red carnations, white mums arranged in the blue vase on the wooden cutting board. I followed up by making the lemon tart.
