An image of calm contemplation...

A one-off unique print, or 'printed painting' of skies over Lake Geneva.
I love the light effects and texture I can create with the monotype technique.

After an initial pencil sketch and small test print, I apply etching inks onto a sheet of steel with card and rollers before removing it in areas with a cloth and then run it through the press. The image is printed just once, onto textured Somerset Satin paper.

This artwork is wrapped in acid-free tissue, loosely rolled in a thick-walled 10cm wide cylinder and dispatched signed and tracked within four days.
