Original artwork description:

Heavy, deep snow is quite rare in this part of the Pennines, which makes it all the more trans-formative when it falls as heavily as a did a few years ago, inspiring this painting. I deliberately used thick, juicy slabs of paint to indicate the deep snowdrifts; contrasting the whiteness of the fresh snow with the dark, warm tones in the snow-laden clouds. This original painting is now SOLD but prints are available. Contact me for more details.
