This British landscape painting draws inspiration from the annual heather burning on the upland grouse moorlands of the British Isles, especially the Yorkshire Pennine moors and the Angus glens. Utilizing an impressionistic style with a palette of black, grey, and red, it attempts to capture the essence of the moorland fires in a contemporary semi-abstract impressionist manner.

Painted using quality artists paint on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
