A delicate watercolour painting of a woman asleep under a bright tree, its branches full of colour.
The tiny white drops of moonlight from a low crescent moon flow around and through her body into the turquoise, blue water through her outstretched hand.
I've deliberately made her blend with the landscape so she is part of the scene, the lines incorporating her into the flow of the image.
I've used mostly *Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils, some Winsor & Newton professional watercolour, with white highlights in gouache.
Painted on Khadi Indian handmade 100% cotton rag, a heavy paper with a lovely deckle edge.
Paper weight: 320gsm / 140lbs
Size: A4 / 8.5 x 12 inches
**Available unframed
Wrapped in acid-free tissue
Sent by Tracked delivery.
A Certificate of Authenticity is included with all my artworks ...
*Inktense pencils are applied dry but when water is added the colour turns into vibrant watercolour ink! I love using them because there is an element of surprise involved. Once the colour has dried, it is fixed and it's possible to add layers.
