Original artwork description:

Returning to the theme of water at night, this oil painting on canvas panel is a more impressionistic version of a larger more minimalist painting, Moonlake Nocturne, also available on Artfinder, of the same scene. In this piece I wanted to create a tranquil and calm image not only in terms of composition but also in terms of the colour palette. The hint of pale yellow ochre in the evening clouds complements the muted blue greys of the sky and its reflection in the water, where one's gaze is drawn to the reflected moonlight.

The piece is painted using exceptional quality Old Holland and Winsor and Newton Artists' series oil paints and mediums with the highest ratings of permanence and light-fastness on a fully-archival canvas panel measuring 40 cm by 40 cm, that will fit many ready-made frames.

The painting will be packaged following best-practice guidelines and despatched by signed for and fully tracked courier. It is signed on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

All paintings are unframed unless otherwise stated.

I endeavour to estimate shipping charges as accurately as possible. In the event of overcharging, I will refund the difference through Artfinder, and will bear the cost of any undercharging myself.

Outside of the UK and America there may be local duty / tax. If so, this is payable by the collector prior to delivery - the postal service/courier for your country will request payment if any is due. VAT on art imports is usually at a reduced rate compared with general VAT ratings.

Thank you for looking.
