The deepest blue in the deep of night. A clear sky, the world is asleep. But the moon is with you…
I created this monotype on a very large home made gellatine plate. I had to work fast to prevent the paint from drying. This keeps me alert and makes me work more intuïtively. 
By registering neatly and working cleanly, I was able to print two layers of paint over each other. I used high quality acrylic paint (Golden Open) which created very vivid and very vibrant colors.

I made various, very different, prints with the title Moon Moon, this is no. 8 in a series. Printing gives me the pleasure of surprise. It always turns out different than expected. This triggers new ideas. My monoprints often consist of multiple layers of paint printed on top of each other. After the printing process I also draw or paint on the prints again.
