Moon Lake is north of my home in Florida. It was originally a 9,000 acre sportsman's paradise in 1933, with famous guests such as Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr., and infamous guests like Al Capone, along with writers and many others. But WWII put an end to the place, though Moon Lake was the forerunner of Florida's self-contained resorts. This painting has been given a satin varnish for protection, and it has already got hanging hardware installed.
