The cobble stoned streets of The Shambles in York, England. Moonlight shines these medieval streets that hold enormous history and character. People can be seen walking the streets and pearing into the many shops that now occupy this space. This work includes bright and luminous pigments that are historical in nature, including Lapis Lazuli that is a paint made of semi-precious gems. The artist uses a unique technique that creates rich textured in this work.
High grade, quality pigments are used. Advanced technique of layering and glazing implemented to achieve a desired effect. Varnished for protection and luminosity. The technique is a mix of traditional practices by Masters and expanded further by modern interpretation.
