Original 4”x6” gouache painting of the Moon Bridge reflections in the pond at the Hakone Gardens. Hakone Gardens is an 18-acre traditional Japanese garden in Saratoga, California. It is recognized as one of the oldest Japanese-style residential garden in the Western Hemisphere, and an enduring American treasure.
Gouache painting on 4"x6" cold pressed french paper on acid free laminated sheet. Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant, because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium. The painting is protected with a sealing wax medium, which is buffed to a luster finish.

Framed in a white rustic wooden picture frame 8 5/8 x 6 3/4 x 5/8 without glass. Visual area is 3 ½" x 5 3/8". The frame comes with both an easel backing and hanging hardware for table top or wall display.
