Original artwork description:

A cow's skull rendered in pencil and ink on a painted book page.

'The country diary of an Edwardian lady' has been a great book to use as a painting surface. The yellowed pages are thick and take paint well and snippets of its text and corners of its watercolours peek through the overlaid drawings.

Musings on the dairy industry as a whole, like most musings on where our food comes from have encouraged me to find smaller producers who hopefully care more for the living creatures that give them so much.

Completed with an inverted french stamp and vintage frame!

Materials used:

Acrylic and ink on a painted book page
