An impressionistic ode to autumn unfolds on the canvas of the Monrepos moated castle in Ludwigsburg. The autumnal splendour is reflected in the colourful trees, whose leaves form a spectrum of golden yellow, bright orange and deep red. The moated castle rises majestically on the shore of the lake, its contours clearly reflected in the calm water. The gentle movement of the waves breaks the image of the castle into enchanting, shimmering reflections. The atmosphere is imbued with a warm, autumnal mood. The sun, fighting its way through the cloud cover, casts its golden light onto the scenery, intensifying the colours of the leaves and painting sparkling points of light on the surface of the water. The sky is streaked with delicate veils of individual clouds that slowly drift over the horizon.
