Original artwork description:

This little work is inspired by my mother. She liked to collect pottery. After my parents had died I inherited a lot of crockery and vases from my childhood home. The simple shapes are great to work with, both in drawing and in my printing. From my drawings I made stencils and I used these on a small home made gelatin plate. By registering neatly and working cleanly, I was able to print three layers of paint over each other. I used high quality acrylic paint (Golden Open) which created very vivid and very vibrant colors. This is part of a series of 22 monoprints.

Materials used:

Fabriano Acid-Free artist paper 160 g/m2 A4; Golden open acrylics
